WebPR for PR professionals

I firmly believe that the more we share our knowledge the better it is for everyone. I like chatting to marketing and PR professionals about the web and how social media can establish new relationships between brands and current or potential customers.

It makes sense to exchange knowledge and new developments as they happen because it’s a win-win situation – for me, it challenges me to investigate a concept further as I am sometimes faced with tricky questions. For the people I’m chatting with it spreads a much needed awareness of the marketing / PR relationships the web offers and gives these professionals the knowledge to be able to better sell social media concepts as part of the marketing mix. I always say that no one is going to be a social media expert after one day but you’ll definitely have a better grasp of the possibilities and tools available.

This is a basic WebPR / social media workshop I recently did for the PR team at Kaelo PR, the slides aren’t text heavy as I prefer to chat about a lot of the concepts in more detail. I also included a number of key videos which aren’t embedded here, excuse the small fonts in places – it did look cooler on the plasma :)
