I blog therefore I…

I haven’t been blogging quite as regularly as I would like – I’ve been pretty busy with other projects and unfortunately my personal blog is not top priority.

My lack of blogging go me thinking as to why I decided to start blogging (a mere 6 months ago) in the first place. I don’t blog to be a blogger, I don’t blog to break the news that I was the first person to discover a new tool or website. It’s not a competition for me and I don’t particularly like the sound of my own voice and therefore don’t really expect others to.

I blog because I hope that I can add value by giving marketers and branding professionals a better idea of what is happening on the web and how the latest web 2.0 developments could help them facilitate a 2-way conversation with their customers.

I blog because I enjoy what I do and because I’m passionate about branding and marketing in the online space.

I blog because although I could probably write more formal commissioned articles my head is too ‘all over the place’ at the moment to commit….weak, I know :)

I blog only when I have something to say.

I blog because it’s quick, easy and instant.

I blog because perhaps if you’ve met me or interacted with me you may like the way my brain works so if I can gather and sift through the info and blog the most relevant bits then maybe you’ll have more social-media savvy today than you did yesterday…..speaking of which, cool finds this week:

- 30+ Solutions to Start Your Own Wiki (I chat about wikis a lot in terms of organising events, projects etc. – check out this video if you’re not sure what a wiki is.)

- 20 Free eBooks about Social Media (great resource and a very useful blog to subscribe to.)

- A Chronology of brands that got Punk’d by social media (very cool read.)

Whatever the reason you blog, enjoy it :)
